The First Black American President of the United States

yes we can

yes we can

I was very happy to hear and witness (via CNN) Mr. Barack Hussein Obama winning! Alot will definitely CHANGE now.  This is a great turn of events and I am hoping that he stays safe.

Although I am not an American – I do think that this is gonna impact all the citizen’s of the world in one way or another.

My husband like Obama has a white mother and a black father. He was born in Suriname and growing up he did not see any color difference till he had to face discrimination when he went to study at university in The Netherlands. He had to work harder than everybody else to get to where he is right now.

It would take a few years more before racism or discrimination is wiped out but now is a good start.

Congratuations Mr. Barack Hussein Obama – the 44th president of The United States of America.
