Leche Flan

Leche Flan are always part of Filipino parties. It won’t be really complete without it.

This is one of my tried and tested recipe. I assure you this one works because I have used this recipe in more than once occasion with great success.

Ingredients:

1 cup sugar
8 egg yolks
2 egg whites
1 can condensed milk
1 cup water
dayap rind

Cooking Instructions:

  1. Caramelize sugar by stirring continuously over medium heat until melted. Pour into flan mould and tilt it over the sides.
  2. Beat egg yolks and egg whites slightly. Add condensed milk, water, dayap rind.
  3. Strain and pour mixture into the caramel lined flan mould.
  4. Place mould in another bigger saucepan filled with 1 inch of water.
  5. Bring to boil and simmer for 40 minutes or until firm.
  6. Cool before removing flan from mould.

Now enjoy but eat in moderation!
