I am pretty pissed when yet another actor made a mockery out of Filipina women. This time it’s 30 Rock’s star Alec Baldwin. And to think that he is a U.N. goodwill ambassador!
Did we miss the joke here? The Philippine government should really do something about this – this is not funny at all.
And for your information – if you see a Filipina woman with a westerner, it doesn not mean she is a mail order bride!

Hmmm … I think it was a joke in bad taste. But it is kind of difficult for me to get mad about it because my grandmother was a real mail order bride. And my she and my grandfather had a very good life together.
Anyway, most filipinas that I’ve known in my life have been hard workers (including my wife) and worked their way up rather than married some rich American to get ahead. And where I live, there are lots of pinoys!
