Have lunch with them.  If you can, leave the house to join your kids for a quick lunch at school, or meet up with your hubby at a restaurant to grab a bite.  Even thirty minutes makes a huge difference.  Wherever you are, you all have to eat lunch, don’t you?

At the strike of 5pm, be more open to your family.  Although you don’t have set work hours, it will help if you ease up on the workload once family members start coming home from school or the office.

Set aside one day a week for family time.  Manage your time throughout the week, so you can manage to free up a day.  You can devote this time to movie-watching, playing board games or going out on a date with your hubby.

Try to make your home office more family-friendly.   More often than not, your kids would just want to be near you, even if you’ve got your head buried in your computer.  Throw some bean bags next to your worktable, so your kids can read a book near you as you work.  Or have some crayons or paint on hand, so your little one can doodle away beside you.

It’s not easy being a work-at-home mom, but with a little creativity, you can devise ways to balance work with family time.

Clean your house. Take a break from researching on a 5th wheel insurance for your rv, and do a little bit of house-cleaning. The Chinese consider it good luck to clean the house of any dirt which has accumulated over the past year. It’s always best to start with a clean slate to attract positive vibes. As a new parent, you want your baby’s nursery to be perfect in every way. Instead of decorating with basic nursery decor like everyone else, try giving the space a special touch. There are some ways to individualise your child’s nursery to give the room a personal feeling.

Family Tree
One personal touch that you can add to the nursery is a family tree. Start by painting a large tree on one wall, which will probably be the focal point of the room. Make sure the tree has lots of branches stemming from both sides. Using a beautiful handwriting or even using stencils, write each family member’s name on a branch of the tree. Your family history will be a unique decoration for the wall and will show your new baby how important her family is.

Once you have chosen the theme and colour scheme for the space, you can use the theme and colour scheme in unexpected places throughout the room. For example, let’s say your theme is yellow ducks, and your colour scheme is light yellow, green, and blue. In this case, you could hang green and blue patterned Roman blinds to add to the colour scheme and theme. You could even sew little yellow ducks on the patterned Roman blinds. You can further add to the room by matching the design and colours on the blinds to the rug or the pillows in the room.

Baby’s Name
There is a cute way to incorporate your baby’s name into the nursery to give it a personal touch. You can go to your local craft store or hardware store to purchase large wooden letters to spell out your child’s name. Make sure they are large enough to use as wall art in the nursery. However, they shouldn’t be too large for the wall in your particular space. You can customise these letters any way you choose. You can paint them in a solid colour to match the colour scheme in the room. Another idea is to use stencils to paint whatever design or image you want on the letters. These letters make cute personal, individualised wall hangings.

Wallpaper
You can make the space more personalised for your baby by choosing to hang wallpaper instead of just painting the walls. Wallpaper comes in so many fun prints, stripes, and designs that you can create a unique and custom look for your baby’s nursery. Choose a wallpaper that reflects your baby’s personality.

While sitting, avoid slouching and make sure the length of your thighs is supported by the chair. Your knees should be at the same level as your hips. Try not to cross your legs, as this inhibits circulation.

Lying on your side takes stress off your lower back without decreasing blood flow to your placenta and baby. When doing so, put a pillow between your legs to support the weight of your top leg and lessen strain on your lower back. Also place another pillow behind you for adequate back support.

You can stress over looking for the best weight loss pill after you give birth. Right now, it’s all about staying positive and enjoying every blissful moment of your pregnancy. Your baby will thank you for it.
