Our home in the Philippines is almost ready for occupancy, but don’t be fooled. The expenses do not stop there. Plus there’s also my pending childbirth, which is still several months away but we believe it pays to be prepared financially early on. I also want to shop for my kid’s things when we have already settled a bit in our new home, so another chunk of our budget will go to that. With all the expenses that’s shrinking our bank accounts sizes, I’m glad there’s still cheap term life insurance that I’m considering to get in the near future for my child’s sake.

The Missing Files

I have a problem at the moment, papers of our vehicles in the farm are missing. Our farm manager cannot find it. Good thing I have copies of the said documents and we can use these copies for renewing the registration of our vehicles. This kind of frustrates me. I know I am not the best person in organizing but when it comes to important documents, I know where they are. Well anyway, when we get to the farm, I will make sure we have a much document management system that will make my life easier.

Excited for the Changes

I am really excited for the changes that are soon to happen. The firs one is me becoming a momma finally. I have been waiting for this for so long, I am just overjoyed.

Second is our move to our plantation. This is one of our dreams to live simply in our own little paradise. The building of the house is coming up pretty well. I can’t wait to see the finish product. All details of this house has been well thought of by me and hubby. It’s difficult though not to be in the building site itself as I cannot see personally what’s going on.

I am glad though that we were able to buy all the necessary items like the tiles for the bathroom, the water basin, the sinks and the Kohler kitchen faucets for the kitchen. So when we arrive there, we only need to buy for the finishing touches.

Growing up I didn’t really pay much attention to my skin. I don’t think it’s damaged or anything because I don’t drink nor smoke. But as I age, I realize I cannot be so reckless anymore. Once it is gone, it is gone for good.

So I decided to take better care of my skin. I now cleanse my face in the morning and in the evening before I sleep. I also apply sunblock everyday to protect my skin from the harmful UV-rays. With all this talk about skin, it makes me wonder about wrinkles, When exactly should we start applying anti wrinkle cream?

Well I don’t really know the answer to that, some says at 25 years of age some says at 30. I guess it could never hurt to be pro active. There are thousands of anti wrinkle cream s available in the market but if you are concerned that it might burn a whole in your pocket, here are some other home remedies you could use against wrinkles:

Ginger & Honey - Have one tablespoonful of shredded ginger with honey a day and your skin will have healthy glow.

Pure Castor Oil – Apply pure castor oil regularly and it will prevents wrinkles.

Coconut Oil – You can apply this to your face and massage it gently every night before you sleep.

Filipinas are not for sale

I am pretty pissed when yet another actor made a mockery out of Filipina women. This time it’s 30 Rock’s star Alec Baldwin. And to think that he is a U.N. goodwill ambassador!

Did we miss the joke here? The Philippine government should really do something about this – this is not funny at all.

And for your information – if you see a Filipina woman with a westerner, it doesn not mean she is a mail order bride!
